Seguimos con las reediciones de los discos de Prince, y en este caso es el turno del álbum "1999". El quinto álbum dentro de su extensa discografía y que salió a la venta en octubre del 1982.

Tras la publicación de la edición especial del "Purple Rain", el "The Piano & a Microphone 1983" y el recopilatorio "Originals", Prince Estate a través de la discográfica Rhino/Warner Records publicará una edición super especial del "1999" el próximo 29 de noviembre.
Los formatos que saldrán a la venta serán:
- Edición Super Deluxe (5CD+DVD / 10LP+DVD)
- Edición Deluxe (2CD / 4LP vinilo de 180gr)
- Disco Remasterizado (1CD / 2LP vinilo color púrpura 180gr)
Todas las versiones estarán disponibles para escuchar en streaming y para su descarga.
La edición super deluxe del "1999" recoge todas las grabaciones que publicó Prince durante 1982, así como también 23 temas nunca antes publicados, y que se grabó entre noviembre de 1981 y enero de 1983. También se incluye en ésta edición, manuscritos de letras nunca antes publicadas, de canciones como "Little Red Corvette", así cómo fotografías inéditas realizadas por Allen Beaulieu, de la primera época de Prince, en los años 80's.
En el quinto cd encontraremos un directo, concretamente el del 30 de noviembre de 1982 en Detroit. Y en el dvd, veremos en imágenes el concierto en directo del 29 de diciembre de ese mismo año en Houston.
Una edición bastante completa, que se va a convertir en un regalo imprescindible para los fans de Prince, sin duda.
